DESIGNING THE FUTURE OF COMCAST IN ONE INTERACTIVE STORE
Retail Interactive Content Design
In Comcast’s journey from telecomms giant to connected lifestyle brand, this flagship retail store became the physical manifestation of the future of a company. A space to position Xfinity products at the intersection of technology and entertainment.
As acting Creative Director for the launch of Studio Xfinity, I led a team of designers, UXers and developers at Elephant, to plan, design and deliver every piece of interactive content. We created a design system that spanned interactive motion content and physical store structures.
Xfinity products xFI (Internet), X1 (TV), Xfinity Home and Xfinity Mobile were reimagined as unique spaces that let users interact with the present and future of these offerings.
Highlights of the space included an interactive recreation of a digital home inside the store, a voice-activated experience serving up content based on the users interests, a data visualization turned art installation across the ceiling and an interactive wall that ‘breathed light’ as a metaphor for wireless connection.
